yes, now i can laugh. but it wasn't so funny when you are seated in the hot seat, squirming in embarrassment as the ENT doc seemed to take great delight in showing you the chunks of gunk he had fished from the depths of your ear canal.
lesson learnt: NEVER, NEVER clean your ears.
not with your finger, not with your towel, and esp not with cotton buds.
this lesson cost me two hundred bucks.

ohmy then what do we clean it with if not cotton buds?
doc says ear is self-cleaning.
or maybe it's just a sales pitch. you don't clean it for ages, it gets congested and you go see him and pay $200 to get the gunk out.
or you could ask your mom for those bamboo ear diggers she got from china :-)
